In 2002, the first construction company within the Medousa Group of companies was founded. After spending many years working in civil engineering and gaining a wealth of experience and expert knowledge of the Cyprus property market, the Managing Director, Mr. Charis Hadjimitsis had a clear vision to move away from the status quo of constructing traditional standard properties. His aspirations were to pioneer in creating high quality, long lasting properties with a distinctive style and timeless design, and so Medousa Constructions and Developers was formed and developed over the years. A commonly asked question, "where did the company name come from?" Well, if there is one thing we are equally as passionate about as we are about property, it would have to be the Island of Cyprus. With a rich heritage and strong culture, the islands history is home to some of the most infamous tales of Greek Mythology. It was only natural that our company would incorporate the name of a strong and powerful Greek Mythological character such as ‘Medusa’ in our title. Coincidentally 'Medusa' had the ability to turn everything she looked at to stone, which is similar to when our construction team take a prime piece of land and build a home - hence the name Medousa Homeland Properties was formed.
